| Dear reader, Tomorrow the EU's largest member state will elect a new parliament. Disinformation and the role of social media has been much discussed in the run-up, and with good reason.
In the last days of the election campaign, a critical piece of research was conducted to see if Meta and X's systems were robust enough to block illegal ads filled with hate-speech and incitement to violence.
