BY ADAM DAIGLE | Acadiana business editor It's unreal how cold it was in Lafayette this morning, but on to the business news..... If you have a craving for French toast bites that taste like fluffy, syrupy little bites of heaven, you're in luck. Ruby Slipper, the family-owned, New Orleans-style brunch spot known for bread pudding pancakes and other decadent breakfast creations, was on track for opening this week, but it's unknown how successful it was thanks for the Acadiana blizzard. On the menu you'll find bananas foster French toast and cinnamon swirl pancakes, an extensive eggs Benedict list with options like the Chicken St. Charles — fried chicken on a Ruby buttermilk biscuit, topped with poached eggs and a delicious tasso cream sauce. You can read Joanna Brown's story here. Have a great day and thanks for reading. |
