Netflix Pushes Back on Password/Account Sharing Netflix is now prompting some users to get their own accounts if they don't live with the account's owner. The message will encourage them to start a free trial, or confirm it's their account. Will this actually cut down on password sharing? Who knows, but can we get back to Schitt's Creek, please? 2. Cheaper, Ad-Supported HBO Max Coming in June Is an ad-supported HBO Max more enticing than the $15 version? That's what WarnerMedia is hoping, as it prepares to launch such a tier in June. We don't have details on its exact price or how annoying ads will be ads will work, but we suspect it'll be similar to Hulu, Paramount+, and the rest. 3. The PlayStation 5 Is Now the Fastest-Selling Console in the US The always-sold-out PS5 overtook the Nintendo Switch as the fastest-selling gaming console the in US, according to industry-tracking firm The NPD Group. The Switch was still the best-selling console in February, but the PS5 was right behind it. Now if only we could get our hands on one.
