| Hello, The COVID-19 pandemic has affected our families, our communities our countries â the whole world. It has dramatically impacted our populations, our economics our cultures and even our climate. As such, there has never been a more pressing need to study geography â to help strengthen our appreciation for the natural world and build a deeper understanding of our interconnectedness. Across Canada, parents and educators are searching for ways to keep students engaged in learning about our country and the planet, while they are physically distancing. Canadian Geographic and Canadian Geographic Education are dedicated to providing meaningful, carefully curated, interactive resources to students, both young and old, engaged in learning from home. This #GivingTuesdayNow we are raising $5,000 to ensure Canadian Geographic Education can continue to provide weekly updates to its #OnlineClassroom and other digital educational tools for the remainder of the school year. Here is what your #GivingTuesdayNow gift will do. A gift of $25 provides a free digital subscription to Canadian Geographic magazine for aspiring youth geographers isolated at home. A gift of $50 helps Canadian Geographic deliver more at-home learning activities, such as #CanGeoTalks and the #UltimateCanadianGeographicQuiz. A gift of $250 helps us reach 100 parents and students isolated at home with our interactive, engaging, curriculum-linked lessons and activities for K-12 students. A gift of $500 (or $42 monthly) helps us develop a new weekly lesson plan for the #OnlineClassroom, and keeps our exciting resources topically relevant for students and families learning at home.
