Today, Giving Tuesday, has become an important day for non-profits like ourselves. On behalf of our 42 staff andfellows, I thank those who have previously supported our efforts to promote American interests in the region, and ask that you consider a making a gift today (most easily done by clicking here).
With Washington, D.C. in transition andObama alumnireturning to positions of power, the Forum is on-guard and committed to its mission. For example, responding to the elimination of the Tehran regime’s top nuclear scientist, Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, Obama’s CIA headJohn Brennancalled it a “criminal act.”
We remain true to our mission (512 articlespublished so far in 2020, read by millions) of promoting American interests. Our specialists will provide sober advice to the new administration and to members of Congress.
We will also continue to expand our reach, providing guidance to policy-makers in the region, with an emphasis on four topics:
Israel Victory and Arab-Israeli Peace – We have advocated the “outside-in” approachsince 1990, the one that led to Israel’s new relations with the UAE, Bahrain, and Sudan; and we argue against a return to the “peace-processing” of the past, which rewards Palestinian obduracy and violence.
Iran and the Gulf – We advise reaching out to potential successors of the Tehran regime, rather than appeasing and supporting it; while strengthening moderateGulf statesand supporting Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman as he attempts a Westernizing revolution.
Turkish Infiltration – We research and raise the alarm about Ankara’s attempts to sway U.S. elections. Days ago, Turkey’s PresidentErdoğanannounced that the Turkish state is “ready to give any kind of support” to Muslims becoming “more visible in Congress and American politics.” We focus on the “Ten Thousand Turks” group of Turkish PACs donating to elected officials.
I look forward to updating you on these and on our other initiatives. And I remind you to consider the Middle East Forumif you make end-of-year donations.
Sincerely, Gregg Roman Director Middle East Forum

Planned Giving: A gift in perpetuity enhances the Forum's capabilities while allowing you to transfer more wealth to your heirs at a lower cost. Each of the following 4 methods serves a different purpose and fits a specific investment plan:
Charitable Bequest — to remove assets from a taxable estate and make a larger contribution than may be possible during one's lifetime.
Life Insurance — to gain a charitable income tax deduction for the cash surrender value and premiums of a life insurance policy.
Retirement Plan — to reduce the size of a taxable estate, avoid income taxation on those funds, avoid income and estate taxes, and increase the amounts passing to heirs.
Charitable Trust — to see philanthropy in action, making transfers to heirs at a lower tax cost and designating beneficiaries to receive payments for life or a term of years. Three types of Charitable Trusts: Charitable Remainder Trust, Charitable Lead Trust, Retained Life Estate.
