Global Poker’s Grizzly Games are back this January with GC 987,000,000 and SC 2,238,000 in guaranteed prizes up for grabs. This marks the eighth year for the series and players will find a packed tournament schedule running from Jan. 27 to Feb. 16.

This is also the third championship in the Global Poker Championships (GPC) Season 2024-25, following the Eagle Cup VIII and GOAT VI. The season culminates with two grand finals: a Gold Coin Final hosted online; and a live Sweeps Coin showdown in Las Vegas. One leaderboard winner and one Player of the Series (the player winning the most trophies) will secure spots in each final to battle in the GPC season finale.

Details On The Series

The Grizzly Games VIII action kicks off on Jan. 26 with Opening Freerolls offering GC 2,000,000 and SC 5,000, followed by pop-up freerolls every weekend during the series.

When the official series action gets underway, players will find 216 trophy events (108 Gold Coin and 108 Sweeps Coin), including main events featuring GC 40,000,000 and SC 200,000 in guarantees. The schedule offers numerous tournament options, including no-limit hold’em, pot-limit Omaha, bounty events, mystery bounties, and even a crazy pineapple tournament. Buy-ins for the Sweeps Coins events range from SC 3.30 to SC 99.

Special tournaments are scheduled for Groundhog Day and Valentine’s Day, with prizes like Grizzly avatars, Global Poker merchandise, and exclusive trophies on the line.

Along with tournaments featuring nice prize pools, the Grizzly Games VIII Player of the Series leaderboard offers additional rewards and a chance to secure a spot in the GPC Season Final. Participants can track their progress with live updates on the leaderboard.
