However, this is just one area buzzing with activity inside a facility that never shuts down. “This is 24 hours a day,” said Sgt. John Paul Garcia, who actually works in an equally busy section of the jail known as the booking area. Texas school district to require drug testing for students Bushland Independent School District has updated its policy for drug testing and will now require students in grades 7-12 to get drug tested before participating in school-sponsored extracurricular activities. Students seeking a parking permit will also be drug tested, according to the new school policy. Norma Turiano Woods was found inside her home on Stonybrook Drive near Fleethill Drive on July 14. The Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office has not yet determined how Woods died, but police investigators said they found no obvious signs of trauma. New law aims to prevent domestic violence with online protective order registry A new Texas law aims to make it easier to prevent domestic violence. Monica's Law, named after an Odessa woman who was killed by an ex-boyfriend, will create an online statewide registry of people who have protective orders against them.
