4 people shot at South Park Mall on South Side, SAPD says

Four people were taken to the hospital after they were shot at South Park Mall on the city’s South Side on Wednesday night, San Antonio police said. According to San Antonio Police Chief William McManus, officers responded just before 9 p.m. after three men and a woman were shot. The victim’s ages range from 17 to 41. McManus said the victims are all in stable condition, with the most critical having been shot in the abdomen. They were all together when the shooting happened.

Another freeze likely Thursday morning, then a chance of rain to end the week

The air that settled in across South Texas Wednesday morning was some of the coldest we’ve seen since last spring! Low temperatures across the area were as low as the teens. Thursday morning will also be very cold, so get ready to bundle up once again! emperatures will be near 60° by Thursday afternoon, with increasing cloud cover throughout the day. By Friday, the forecast focus will shift from temperatures to chances of rain.

President Donald Trump was impeached by the U.S. House of Representatives Wednesday night, becoming only the third American chief executive to be formally charged under the Constitution’s ultimate remedy for high crimes and misdemeanors. The historic vote split along party lines, much the way it has divided the nation, over the charges that the 45th president abused the power of his office.

7-year-old boy in Texas shelter writes heartbreaking letter to Santa

A 7-year-old boy living in a Texas shelter with his mom is breaking hearts across social media with his letter to Santa Claus. SafeHaven of Tarrant County posted Blake’s letter to the shelter’s Facebook page and asked for a “very very very good” dad, among other things. Blake’s mom found the letter in his backpack several weeks ago, according to the post.

Cowboys QB Prescott expected to play despite shoulder injury

Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott has a shoulder injury that is limiting him in practice but shouldn’t keep him out Sunday when the Cowboys try to qualify for the playoffs at Philadelphia. The Cowboys and Eagles are tied for the NFC East lead at 7-7, and Dallas advances to the postseason with a victory. The 26-year-old Prescott has started every game in his four-year career, 62 so far in the regular season along with three playoff games.
