The area offers several venues to get a good scare, including some reported haunted locations KSAT is visiting. Here are some other Halloween happenings across South Texas. Superstitious? A rare Harvest Full Moon to arrive on Friday the 13th Maybe it is because Jason Vorhees haunted Camp Crystal Lake under a full moon or because superstition is abound, but Friday the 13th will definitely feel a little creepier this year thanks to a rare lunar event. A full harvest micromoon is set to appear in the sky Friday night. This is the first full moon to happen nationwide on Friday the 13th since October 13, 2000. Alamo City Comic Con announces 2019 fall date, location change This fall's Alamo City Comic Con is moving locations and headed to the streets. The event is scheduled for Oct. 31 to Nov. 3 at Sunset Station and St. Paul's Square. According to a Facebook post, organizers are "taking the party to the streets with concerts, comics, celebrities, live art, food trucks and more!" Previous Alamo City Comic Cons have been held at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, dating back to the event's debut in 2013. Today's Headlines Memorial climb at Tower of the Americas will honor fallen 9/11 heroes Hundreds of people are expected to climb the Tower of the Americas on Wednesday, the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, to honor the first responders killed in New York City. San Antonio 110 9/11 Memorial Climb will pay tribute to 343 fallen firefighters, 70 law enforcement officers and nine emergency medical service technicians who died at ground zero. Barrientes Vela accused of sex discrimination in latest lawsuit filed by deputy constable For the second time in nine months, an incident in a Galveston hot tub during a 2017 work conference is at the center of an employment lawsuit filed against Bexar County Precinct 2 Constable Michelle Barrientes Vela. The suit, filed in district court Sept. 3 by Precinct 2 Deputy Constable Chris De La Cerda, claims that Barrientes Vela retaliated against him and another deputy constable from the agency, Leonicio Moreno, after Moreno refused sexual overtures from Barrientes Vela. $24M project set to begin along Quintana Road this month Road improvements for drivers who use Quintana Road near Port San Antonio will begin in a few weeks. Trucks headed into the port, waiting to turn, block the four-lane road. There's also a curve along Dunton Street that can make it difficult for drivers to see the road ahead, but for some, the worst part of the intersection is the flooding when it rains.
