Today, his murder remains unsolved. The Guadalupe County Sheriff's Office responded to a home in the 200 block of Shady Lane, where they found Rangel with multiple gunshot wounds. Rangel was last seen alive the night before. Investigators said he was spending time with his friends and arrived home just after 10 p.m. on July 3. They believe Rangel was shot between 10:30 p.m. and 6 a.m. Fired SAPD detective fights for his job, new records reveal threatening voicemails left to mistress A San Antonio police detective who was fired in June after he sent threatening voicemails to his mistress is now fighting to get his job back. Det. Emanuel Keith, a 23-year veteran with SAPD, will argue for his job in an arbitration hearing on Thursday and Friday. Keith was fired following an internal affairs investigation into his conduct months ago, but records recently obtained by KSAT-12 revealed the extent of the contentious relationship between Keith and his mistress. Murder of pregnant woman in 2017 remains unsolved It's been almost two years since a drive-by shooting left one pregnant woman dead. Very little clues were left behind in the murder of 21-year-old Ditraniq Hawkins on Dec. 2, 2017. Hawkins and her boyfriend were driving just north of downtown when a black sedan started chasing them. Their vehicle crashed into a truck, and that is when someone inside the black sedan opened fire hitting Hawkins and her boyfriend.
