The heat seems to be sticking around, fingers crossed in the next week or two we start to see temperatures decrease. We are going to start a new process with a weekly communication to let the membership know what the planned golf course 18 hole rotation will be for the upcoming week along with some practices you may see the maintenance staff working on while out on the golf course. We feel this is a good way to get everyone in the “know” of what exactly is going on as we progress through the end of summer and into fall. We still have three temporary greens on the Vale Course (1,3,6), however the maintenance staff has gone through and spiked these greens, seeded them and put a light layer of sand topdressing on them. We will continue to use the temporary greens until we feel the greens are ready to be put back in play. The remaining greens on the Vale and all of the Creek greens have been punched, verti-cut and top-dressed to help get the grass to stand up tall and to allow for a more consistent smooth roll of the ball. You will also see some areas around the golf course greens where rope is being put out to keep foot traffic off as seed is being applied to get the grass to grow back where needed. COURSE ROTATION: Thursday, August 9 - Creek-Vale (Corporate Outing @ 1:00 on Creek-Ridge) Friday, August 10 - Creek-Ridge Saturday, August 11 – Creek-Ridge Sunday, August 12 – Creek-Ridge Monday, August 13 – Vale (Corporate Outing on Creek-Ridge) Tuesday, August 14 – Ridge-Creek (Ladies Guest Day @ 3:00) Wednesday, August 15 – Vale-Ridge Again, those are the “planned” 18 hole course rotations for the week ahead, please understand if unexpected problems arise on the course, we will have to adjust the course rotation for proper maintenance. Thank you everyone for your patience as we fight our way through the current course conditions. With a little help from mother nature and the new maintenance practices you should see course improvements as we progress daily. -Adam Luehmann, PGA
