Happy Tuesday,
🌈 The Senate might be getting another queer lawmaker. A recent poll in Michigan shows that Pete Buttigieg and Dana Nessel are the top two choices in a Democratic primary. Buttigieg lives in the state and Nessel currently serves as the state's attorney general. Both politicians are out. Neither Buttigieg nor Nessel have said they plan to run.
🗓️ Google's online calendar will no longer track Pride Month, Black History Month, or Women’s History Month shortly after the company also abandoned its diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
🤣 Pete Hegseth, Trump's anti-LGBTQ+ Defense secretary, was booed by U.S. service members' families during a trip to Germany. Hegseth was met with boos and heckling upon his arrival at U.S. European Command headquarters in Stuttgart, Germany, on Tuesday, as military families protested his policies targeting diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and transgender service members.
Onwards and upwards,
Alex Cooper
