The biggest marketing news today can be summed up as “The big are getting bigger and the rich are getting a heck of a lot richer.” Omnicom is very serious about the “Omni” part of its name. The already-large agency-holding company dropped $13.25 billion to buy the also-pretty-big agency-holder Interpublic. It is now the world’s largest company of this type.

Meanwhile, global ad revenues are set to break $1 trillion this year and the big winners are Google and Meta. Next year, the total is predicted to rise $7.7% and 82% of the total will be from digital marketing.
