Good morning and thanks for joining us. Here are some of today's top headlines. Tax overhaul: After two weeks of wrangling, the Legislature has signed off on a state revenue overhaul that will see income taxes drop, sales taxes rise and a tax on corporate assets disappear. Homeless sweep to resume: Authorities have begun notifying homeless residents in parts of the French Quarter that they have 24 hours to leave or be relocated to a designated encampment under the overpass near Calliope Street in the coming days, reigniting a fight with city leaders who say the last sweep delayed their efforts to find people homes. Sophie Kasakove has the details. French Quarter killing: Technology has played a major role in the police response to a French Quarter shooting that killed one and wounded three others, with surveillance videos leading to one arrest and the identification of two other suspects. But another technology key to law enforcement — ankle monitors — appears to have failed the system, leading to criticism of an Orleans Parish judge. Gabriella Killett has the story.
