What You Need to Know The government, with less than an hour to spare, did not shut down Saturday night. After multiple attempts to pass various iterations of bills to fund the federal government, a Continuing Resolution passed both bodies and was signed by the President at 11:15 pm Saturday night. The CR is a 45-day stopgap measure that keeps spending at 2023 levels, with additional funds for disaster relief but no additional funds for Ukraine. The resolution passed 335-91 in the House and 88-9 in the Senate. Four of the five members of Utah's federal delegation supported the bill, with Sen. Mike Lee being the sole "no" vote.
