Governor's race takes shape: The upcoming governor's race came into sharper focus Monday as one major Louisiana Republican declared his intention to run and another opted out. Endymion still mum on Mel Gibson selection: One day after nixing controversial actor and director Mel Gibson as co-grand marshal of the Endymion parade, the super krewe went a little further on Monday by saying it will "do better in the future." Still, krewe President Dan Kelly didn't offer any details on how the decision was made and what could be done differently, nor did he substantiate the threats the organization cited Sunday as a reason for changing course.
