Grand Isle’s struggles: The annual Tarpon Rodeo brought anglers and watchers to Grand Isle over the past few days. Island locals were happy for the visitors, but told our Blake Paterson that the past 11 months have been a difficult struggle as the long recovery from Hurricane Ida continues.
Making connections: Plans are being pushed for an $85 million roadway linking the airport’s south side rental car agencies and parking lots to the new terminal on the north side of the property, Matt Sledge reports. But also in Matt’s story: the I-10 flyover that will alleviate much of the headache getting to and from the new terminal has been pushed back at least several months.
