Veridian raises $21,400 for Grandview Kids For Diana Hills, touring Grandview Children's Centre made all the difference when choosing a charity to support - personally and professionally. "Seeing the support, services and the love that was being given to the children with special needs just melted my heart," said Veridian's Manager of Public Affairs. "I knew then that I would always be somehow involved with Grandview." Veridian recently held its 18th Annual Charity Golf Tournament. $21,400 of the money raised will be donated to Grandview. "Every year Veridian looks for a charity to support and we wanted to be part of the funding for the new Grandview Children's Centre. There are over 3,000 children on the wait list and this centre is desperately needed. The golf committee felt it was an opportunity to help children and youth with special needs get the programs and the services that would help them live a better life." If you are thinking about donating to Grandview, we encourage you to take Diana's advice and come tour the centre to see firsthand the impact your donations make in the lives of kids with special needs in Durham Region. "You will be amazed at what these awesome children can do and how happy they are," she said. |
