Joe Thompson were featured on an episode of Rogers TV's Helping Durham Region with Rob MacArthur.

He's No Average Joe

Joe Thompson is many things to Grandview Kids. He's a donor, a volunteer, a supporter and most importantly a friend.  Joe most recently took on the top job of Committee Chair of the 21st annual Golf Fore Grandview Kids Charity Golf Classic. When asked why he has been so involved with Grandview Children's Centre over the last five years, Joe said "I believe in Grandview. I see the positive changes in the children's lives from the donations and volunteer work that takes place."

"After one visit to the centre, you can see the work the staff does, the equipment that is needed and the children that are in the programs. You can't help but to want to jump in and help. There are 3,000 children waiting for services. I want to help by doing what I can to bring that number down to zero."

As the Regional Manager for Dufferin Concrete, Joe launched the Ready Mix Drum sponsorship program which allows local businesses to advertise on a special Grandview Kids marked concrete truck. Joe is always looking for more business owners to get involved and said being part of the Ready Mix Drum program is great because it gives businesses exposure in the community while supporting Grandview Kids at the same time.

Huge Thank you to the Durham Diva's for raising $4250 through their Annual Sylvia's Ride Charity Poker Run in support of Grandview Kids.

Since 2013, The Durham Diva's have raised close to $20,000 for Grandview Kids.

THANK YOU to everyone who participated in our
21st Annual Golf Fore Grandview Kids Charity Golf Classic on June 1st, 2017

Together we raised over $62,000 For Grandview Kids.

The Golf Fore Grandview Kids Charity Golf Classic was a major success! 176 golfers participated on June 1, 2017. Their registration fee to hit the links combined with their amazing generosity bidding on silent auction and raffle items helped raise more than $62,000 for Grandview Kids.

Grandview Kids would like to thank all the golfers for taking part. We are grateful to our terrific staff and volunteers also who helped make the event run so smoothly.

A big thank you goes out to our sponsors. Without you, we couldn’t have held the Golf Fore Grandview Kids Charity Golf Classic.
