Online applications are now being accepted for the Scottish Government's Newly Self-Employed Hardship Fund which provides grants of £2,000 which are designed to support newly self-employed individuals who have not been able to access support through other schemes.

ALL SUPPORTING MATERIALS ARE SUPPLIED WITH YOUR APPLICATION

This allows applications to be processed and funds paid in bank accounts quickly

Self-Employment Income Support Scheme Launches 13th May


The Self-Employment Income Support will benefit self-employed individuals or those in a partnership whose business has been adversely affected by coronavirus, 

HMRC is contacting those that they believe are eligible by using information that customers have provided in their 2018-19 tax return – and returns for 2016-17 and 2017-18.

However they have also launched an online checker to enable individuals to understand if they may be eligible.

Creative or Tourism and Hospitality Enterprises Hardship Fund

The fund aims to support companies in tourism, creative industries and hospitality that are experiencing hardship, because they are ineligible for other COVID-19 Government grant support.

The focus is to help companies manage cashflow commitments for the next three months and eligible companies can apply for funding up to £25,000.

Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme


All you need to know about the governments Job Retention Scheme where employers can claim 80% of wages for employees on temporary leave (“furlough”).

Small Business Support Grant


Small Business Support Grant Applications are already being processed by Fife Council’s Rates Team who are working hard to support Fife Businesses by helping them maintain cashflow. With applications being approved, if you’ve not already, why not check to see if you are eligible.


Business Rates Support for Fife Businesses

To help support the country's creative industries against the impact of COVID-19, Creative Scotland has launched three funding programmes
  1. A Creative Scotland Bridging Bursary Fund
  2. Screen Scotland Bridging Bursary Fund
  3. Open Fund: Sustaining Creative Development - aims to enable organisations to explore ways of working that will help them to adapt and respond to the current changing circumstances.
