Hello, Wednesday lunchtime is when we round up some of the amazing things the fine folk of Lancashire are doing. The owners of a popular Ribble Valley pub have thanked residents and the business community for their support after a devastating blaze at the premises. "We have been inundated with messages from people wanting to help and we would like to thank everyone for their kindness and support. It really means a lot to us," said Lauren Frost, who owns the Three Millstones with her husband Matthew. An investigation is underway by Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service after the blaze, which is believed to have been caused by soaring temperatures heating up an extractor fan, set an outdoor pizza oven on fire. Elsewhere, Bridget Alexander and John Nelson, from Chorley, are offering free rides in sports cars to teens from families who cannot afford the mounting costs of school proms. “It’s going absolutely mental. It’s unbelievable,” Bridget told us. Both their Ford Mustang SL V8 Convertible and Ford Ranger Raptor Conversion have been booked up nightly, with pick-ups scheduled right up until Wednesday, July 20.
