Great Lakes Brewing Co.’s First Pour party, which celebrates the annual release of Christmas Ale, is Thursday, Oct. 17. The ale is the brewery’s top seller even though it is out for only 10 weeks. Brewella’s expanding to bigger space in Lakewood

Akronym Brewing to close Medina location

Akronym Public House & Pilot Brewery, a Medina outpost for the Akron-based brewery, is closing. Its last day will be Saturday, Sept. 28. In a statement posted on its Facebook page, the brewery said in part, “Although we have poured our heart and soul into this second location, we simply can’t keep it going any longer. … In the end, there have just been too many obstacles for us to overcome.” The Akronym location, located downtown at 58 E. A sign just went up on a new Original Pancake House in Strongsville. The restaurant is scheduled to open in early 2025.
