Hello everyone, Spring is almost here in Ontario! I just love this time of year. The trees are thinking of budding and the Canada Geese have begun to fly back home to start their families. Speaking of families, I have some awesome 1Password Families news to share with you. :) An Even Special-er Spring Special In the last newsletter I announced these perks for families who signed up before the first day of spring: $10 added to your account (an extra 2 months free) Twice the amount of secure storage for your documents (that’s 2 GB) The ability to invite two more family members for free! (that’s 7 family members for only $5) The response has been so amazing that I’ve decided to extend this special until April 14th, a.k.a my birthday. I thought it would be nice to have an early Birthday Special :) If you already signed up, I wanted to make this special for you as well and extended your free trial until April 14th. Sign up for 1Password Families You can cancel your subscription at any time and still have access to your data. Oh, and by the way, don’t worry about adding your credit card just yet. You’ll be prompted to add it when your trial is close to ending. Love for 1Password Families The response to 1Password Families has been wonderful! Many of you signed up your Family and then wrote in with virtual hugs for me and the team. Many long time 1Password users asked why they should switch to Families. I thought you might have this question, too. To answer this question I always start by saying you don’t have to switch, and then I proceed to explain why I decided to move to my new family account. Here are some of the awesome things that are only possible in Families: Full online access to all your 1Password data Super simple setup for new family members — just send them an invite email! Easy vault creation and sharing, including View Only access My personal favourites are item history backups and the ability to restore access to family members who forget their Master Password. Once I highlight all the fantastic features available in Families, the next question quickly becomes "how do I migrate my existing data to Families?" :) Switching to 1Password Families Moving your data to a family account is easy: Sign up your family Add your family account to 1Password Move your existing items to your new account That’s it! And to help you along, we have a nice guided tour to walk you though the process: Migrating to 1Password Families If you are using Windows, note that we only have a native app for Windows 10 at the moment. On older versions of Windows you can use the web app to access your data. I’ll be giving you an update on this in a future newsletter :) Until next time, take care and please reach out if anything is on your mind. Joining us in our discussion forums is the best way to get in touch and share your ideas directly with me and the rest of the team. |
