In a cover interview with Variety, the 50-year-old casually shared the upcoming 17th season of the longest-running medical series could be it's last.

The actor has played Meredith Grey since the show premiered in 2005 and has since also become a producer on the show. In 2018 she signed a major television deal that made her the highest-paid TV actress.
