Mar 24, 2025

GTCR’s Collin Roche eyes exits; TJC’s Kristin Custar, Hg’s Tom Eckersley to speak at Investor Relations Network’s New York Forum

Good morning, Dealmakers.

MK Flynn here on a rainy Monday morning in New York with the US edition of the Wire.

This week marks the 20th anniversary of PEI Group’s Investor Relations Network’s New York Forum!

I’ll be at the event, moderating the Keynote Fireside Chats on Wednesday and Thursday mornings.

On Wednesday, I’ll interview Kristin Custar, partner, head of the global investor capital group, The Jordan Company, about building resilient relationships with investors.

And on Thursday, I’ll interview Tom Eckersley, head of marketing and external affairs, Hg, about brand evolution during market revolution.

IRNY2025 also features opportunities for industry connection, including an interactive Breakfast of Champions, our 20th Anniversary Reception, and the results of PEI’s Investor Relations and Marketing Compensation Survey.

I hope to see you there!

And in the meantime, today on the Hub, we’re featuring my video conversation with Collin Roche, co-CEO at GTCR, about dealmaking in the financial services sector, which has been the most active sector for the Chicago-based firm lately.

I met with Roche at PEI Group’s NEXUS 2025, where he alsospoke on a leadership panel.

Let’s get right to that conversation.

Exits to be had

Financial services has been the most active sector for GTCR lately, co-CEO Collin Roche told me in a video interview at NEXUS 2025 earlier in March. PE Hub reporter Rafael Canton wrote about the conversation.

Upgrade to the premium version of the Wire to learn about deals the Chicago PE firm has made in the financial services industry, including Worldpay, Winged Keel and AssuredPartners.

And for more conversations with private equity thought leaders from the summit, including Carlyle’s Brian Bernasek, KKR’s Pete Stavros, Apollo’s David Sambur, TPG’s Jon Winkelried, Thoma Bravo’s Orlando Bravo, Silver Lake’s Joe Osnoss, Advent International’s Tricia Glynn, Bridgepoint’s Xavier Robert and Oaktree’s Milwood Hobbs Jr, visit the NEXUS 2025 landing page on PE Hub website.

As always, I’d love to hear from you at mk.flynn@pei.group

If you’re coming to IRNY25, please say Hello!

Tomorrow, Craig McGlashan will bring you tomorrow’s Europe Wire, and I’ll bring you the US edition.

Cheers,

MK
