The Sunday Round-Up | March 14, 2021 Good Sunday morning to you! I wrote the other day that the day we move our clocks forward was always one of my favorite days of the year growing up in Connecticut. That trend seems to be continuing because last night, our 19-month-old took an unusually long nap that began at 3pm and went straight into the night. I decided to sleep in the same bed as her just to make sure she was alright and also, anticipating she would wake up wide-eyed for a few hours like she had a few weeks ago when it happened the first time. Must be a growth spurt because she wasn’t sick. Before I fell asleep, I was curating travel news stories for today’s newsletter. I saw a story about DST, which triggered a memory of my wife saying, "If you're up at midnight, you should enter Travelocity’s fun giveaway," which we featured in Friday's newsletter. I didn’t think I would be up that late but sure enough I was, thanks to my daughter. What was fortuitous, was that Olivia made a noise exactly at midnight so I jumped up to see if she was alright. She was. I glanced at the clock and saw the time so I opened Twitter and saw Travelocity’s contest tweet. I quickly entered by sending a half asleep entry. I didn’t think I would win but an hour later, when I was feeding Liv in the kitchen (yes, she was still up at 1am) I saw I had a message from Travelocity informing me that I was one of the 25 winners of the $1,000 vacation package voucher! How awesome is that? Now, onto the Sunday Round-Up (scroll all the way down), which is chock full of travel tips and travel news. 12 Things in Travel You Need to Know Today Here are today's top travel stories: 1.
