I know you have been inundated with Colorado Gives Day solicitations. You might consider this piling on, but I hope you'll take a moment to hear what I have to say.

The Colorado Gives Foundation has been no friend to taxpayers. In fact, they recently helped destroy TABOR refunds in Jefferson County by putting their money into the recent de-TABORing campaign there. Our friend, Brandon Wark, over at Free State Colorado, laid it out. 

Now, mind you, they're free to spend their money any way they wish. But it sure seems that if they're going to spend money to destroy our Taxpayer Bill of Rights, they should make up for it by supporting the organization that made the TABOR a reality in Colorado: Independence Institute.

As with any investment, you should ask regularly what is your long-term return. With nearly four decades building political infrastructure and taking the longview of political change, we have rewritten Colorado's political underpinnings. TABOR, charter schools, term limits, the flat income tax, lowering that flat income tax repeatedly, open meetings laws, open records laws, concealed carry, and privatization. We could go on and on.
