STREETS OF FIRE: At least 18 people, some of them innocent motorists traveling in the right place at the wrong time, have been shot on New Orleans highways this year. Here's some perspective and an interactive map of the shootings.
FINAL CURTAIN: The New Orleans regional theater scene suffered a blow Wednesday when Southern Rep, the peripatetic 36-year-old company known for its focus on dramas and newer plays, announced it is folding. It had been struggling since 2018.
