CBS Sports Fantasy Baseball Today

We spend a lot of our energy at CBS on the Roto and H2H points formats, but it's harder to just lump in H2H categories leagues given how unique they are. Your first instinct might be to use all of our Roto rankings and analysis for H2H categories. While both formats traditionally use the same 5x5 categories, they're not totally similar. In Roto, most people like to use a balanced approach because it's much harder to compete if you punt a category. In the H2H format, you could punt steals and saves and still be really competitive. The point is, H2H categories leagues are much different in terms of strategy and execution. Some may only roster relievers in a 'Marmol Strategy', while others may only roster starting pitchers. Nonetheless, Scott White and I recently discussed our strategy for the format on the Fantasy Baseball Today podcast. Below you'll also find the results from our most recent H2H categories mock draft, which should give you an idea of how to attack it yourself. Also, who doesn't love rookies? I'm not talking about a top-500 list where you find prospects to buy in dynasty. Which rookies can help us this season in Fantasy Baseball? Ian Anderson is a good starting point.
