The year has been a difficult one for many makers with political and economic uncertainty making selling handmade work an especially precarious business!
So we were delighted and relieved that MADE LONDON - Marylebone this October had such a buzz and, in general, the corresponding sales. Visitors felt that the show was the best yet with many exciting and original makers spanning different types of crafts. We feel that MADE LONDON is now established as the best quality contemporary craft and design show in the UK.
We followed this up a few weeks later with MADE BRIGHTON in the atmospheric and imposing setting of St Bartholomews Church in Brighton. This show has a very much a pre-xmas vibe with 1500 lights illuminating the vast space of the church and it was well supported by buyers from Brighton and beyond.
Brighton Art Fair at Lewes was our last show of the year and despite the rail line being out of action all weekend was well attended on the Friday and Saturday. Art buyers appreciated the light and spacious venue right in the centre of Lewes, as well as the great range of painters, printmakers, sculptors and photographers.
