Farewell 2024 and HELLO 2025!! We've had some great times through 2024 with our RISO show, the second Atelier OPEN, our WOOD! exhibition, and a spotlight on papercut maestro Rob Ryan. This year also saw the return of MADE London to Marylebone, and MADE Brighton and the Brighton Art Fair to the iconic Brighton Corn Exchange. Thank you for all of your custom and support through 2024, and for joining us at Atelier Beside the Sea and Tutton & Young in championing talented contemporary artists and makers across the UK. We are looking forward to 2025, and have a great year of shows, exhibitions and courses lined up, including the return of Jonny Hannah to the arches. Come in and discover a world of craft and design. Our doors are open this New Year's Day, 11am - 5pm, and every day this week. Images: Arizona print by Roman Klonek (above), Bend & Snap print by Strangford (below) |

Our current exhibition FOLK continues, with newly arrived pieces from Brighton-based Becky Crow. A mixture of jewellery and three-dimensional illustration, Becky's work is designed to be both worn and displayed. With drawing as a starting point and the great outdoors as a source of wonder and constant inspiration, elements of narrative are captured in silver and transformed into miniature scenes telling out across the surface of a brooch or hanging as a pendant. We have a great selection of Becky's work on display in the gallery now. |
|
Also in FOLK, stone lithographs by Flora McLachlan, storybook landscapes by Kit Boyd, carnival characters from Bernard Lodge, jewellery by Rachel Larkins, collage from Kate Black and prints from Zoe Ansari, papier-mâché characters from Emily Warren, shrines from Catriona Faulkner, and punch needle creations from Bob & Eve. See them all in our gallery between the piers on Brighton beach. |
