Dear Voornaam , I didn’t want to let the month of June pass by without sending a message of love and support for our LGBTQ+ family all across Oregon. As an ally and as the Chair of the Democratic Party of Oregon, it is important to me to reflect upon the meaning of intersectionality and inclusiveness, and to always endeavor to improve the way our Party applies those values.
Though the other side is ramping up their hateful rhetoric and efforts to infringe upon the rights of the LGBTQ+ community, please know that no matter who you are, you are so very loved. Democrats remain strongly committed to creating a safe and inclusive Oregon, and I want to sincerely thank our Stonewall Caucus leaders, members, and LGBTQ+ Democrats all across Oregon for putting in the work to realize that goal.
