Lines of thunderstorms are expected to roll across the region later this evening and the weather folks say they could produce strong winds or perhaps even a tornado. Here’s what we know about the timing. Harassment, then gunfire: Ace crime reporter Michelle Hunter has the latest in a murder earlier this year in a Metairie apartment complex. To hear the detectives tell it, it's a story of revenge and harassment that culminated in a murder. Naming a new leader: Look for a new schools leader to be named later today in New Orleans. The Orleans Parish School Board has been interviewing candidates and will decide from three finalists today. Then, they’ll start hammering out a contract with the new person, Marie Fazio reports. Farewell to a Saint: Malcolm Jenkins, the last player left on the Saints’ roster from the glorious Super Bowl-winning team, is hanging up his cleats. Jenkins’ 13-year career included two separate stops in New Orleans, sandwiched around a stint in Philadelphia. Oh, and two Super Bowl rings. Cool cubes: From the in-case-you-missed-it file: The Jazz Fest “cubes” are out, which means it’s time to start planning your days of music and food. And perhaps no surprise, the Foo Fighters have canceled their festival appearance this spring in the wake of drummer Taylor Hawkins’ death. Shameless plug!
