The proposal to move Lafayette City Court as part of a major downtown residential project took another step toward reality after both sides reached an agreement to purchase the Lemoine Building. The 42,175-square-foot downtown building, 214 Jefferson St., is now under contract between the owner and the City of Lafayette, documents show. The property was listed at just under $6.2 million and includes the parking area behind the building and the lot at the corner of Cypress and Jefferson streets. Read the full story here.
