| The Senate voted Saturday to confirm Judge Brett Kavanaugh as the ninth Supreme Court justice after a bitter, months-long battle over his nomination. Kavanaugh takes the Supreme Court seat of Justice Anthony Kennedy, who retired earlier this year.
