I am honored to introduce myself to you as your new Head Golf Professional! My wife and I, along with our children, moved to Norwalk this past April. We were fortunate to play Echo Valley shortly after we moved, and I could tell right away that it was a special place. I never imagined an opportunity to become a part of this special place would present itself, but I could not be happier to be a part of the Echo Valley team. Prior to moving to Norwalk, we lived in Lawrence, Kansas for five years where I became the Head Golf Professional at Wolf Creek Golf Club in Kansas City. I grew up in Antioch, Il, and started playing golf competitively as a junior in fifth grade. After competing at Central College in Pella, earning four letters, and competing in the Division III Nationals competition, I immediately enrolled in the PGA PGM program and worked as an Assistant Golf Professional at Crystal Lake Country Club in Crystal Lake, IL. I later spent six years in the Assistant Golf Professional role at Sunset Ridge Country Club in Northfield, IL and served two winters as the Assistant at The Founders Club in Sarasota, FL before heading to Wolf Creek Golf Club. My time at Wolf Creek will always be a treasured memory, both professionally and personally, as it was dur ing that time I met my wife, Rheanne, and her two children, Evelyn (10) and Ryan (7). Last winter, Rheanne happily accepted the General Manager/COO position at Wakonda Club which brought us to Norwalk. This past season, I worked as an Assistant Golf Professional at Glen Oaks Country Club. When the Head Golf Professional opportunity at Echo Valley became available, I eagerly submitted my interest. I am grateful and excited to join the Echo Valley family and look forward to meeting all of you. I am immersing myself in all things Echo Valley and planning for the fast-approaching 2020 season. I look forward to working alongside Matt to bring innovative ideas to enhance and positively impact our juniors, men’s and ladies’ programs. I will also be working to develop our merchandise offerings through custom club-fitting services and new products. Simply put, my goal is to provide the best player experience in the area, and I can’t wai t to get started. I look forward to meeting you and seeing you on the golf course!
