Abénex and Cathay Capital have exited an investment from 2011 with the sale of Vulcanic to a consortium including Qualium Investissement, CDC International Capital and Qatar Investment Authority. The company is a provider of electrical heating and cooling systems for industrial use to some 30,000 customers across 100 countries.

Indian mortgage lender PNB Housing Finance is looking to raise as much as $450 million in a local IPO later this month, according to Reuters, with plans to sell roughly 40 million shares priced between INR750 and INR775. PNB Housing is backed by The Carlyle Group and Punjab National Bank.

NewSpring raises $254M toward fourth growth fund

NewSpring Capital has raised a total of $253.8 million toward a $300 million target for its NewSpring Growth Capital IV fund, according to an SEC filing. The firm's growth funds invest mainly in the business services and technology sectors. NewSpring closed its previous growth fund on $250 million in 2013, exceeding a target of $200 million.

Mark Schwartz to retire from Goldman role
 
New York, NY | Investment Bank
Mark Schwartz will leave his position as chairman of Goldman Sachs Asia-Pacific at the end of the year, according to a Wall Street Journal report. Schwartz will remain with the firm in a reduced role, departing his current post in Beijing to become a senior advisor based in New York. Schwartz worked at Goldman from 1979 to 2001 before his first retirement, then returned to the investment bank in 2012.
