Harvard Bioscience working on brain, diabetes research devices

Via two of its subsidiaries, Holliston life-science firm Harvard Bioscience has launched two new programs aimed at studying the brain and diabetes treatment.

Massachusetts Medical Society appoints new president

Alain Chaoui, a primary care physician on the North Shore, has been named the president of the Massachusetts Medical Society, which counts 25,000 physicians statewide as members.

Mohammad Alhabbal is the new medical director for AdCare Hospital of Worcester. Alhabbal is a graduate of the Damascus University Medical School in Syria and completed his residency at UMass Medical School, where he is an assistant professor in the department of family medicine and was the school’s 2013 teacher of the year.
