UMass Memorial CEO: Clinic closure part of $50M efficiency plan

A plan to close Plumley Village Health Services on Belmont Street in Worcester is a drop in the bucket as UMass Memorial trims spending, CEO Eric Dickson said Wednesday.

Dr. Linda Weinreb is the new medical director of Medicaid Programs and Medicaid Accountable Care Organizations for Worcester-based health insurer Fallon Health. Weinreb, a family medicine physician, served as vice chair and professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at University of Massachusetts Medical School and medical director of the Family Health Center of Worcester’s Homeless Families Program.
