Simplicity is not reduction, it's better focus.

"That’s been one of my mantras
– focus and simplicity"
 Steve Jobs (1955 - 2011)

What is minimalism to you?
Most would say minimalism equals to having less. Some say it is about keeping what you really need and not unnecessary junks". For us, minimalism can be a tool to assist us in finding freedom. Freedom from fear. Freedom from worry. Freedom from overwhelming. Freedom from the trappings of the consumer culture we’ve built our lives around. Real freedom. So, what's minimalism to you?

Why minimalism is gaining popularity?
There are plenty of reasons why the minimalist movement is gaining popularity. There are strong evangelists who helped us recognise this.

Apple and Steve Jobs: Everything about Apple is about clarity and simplicity. The products, user experience, packaging, and advertising messages, Apple embraced the "less is more" approach and the result is a distinctive design — clean, friendly, and intuitive.

Marie Kondo: By now, we're sure everybody has heard the name Marie Kondo — a Japanese organising consultant who is fast becoming a household name. She has 3.1 million followers on Instagram and she is the best selling novelist and her show Tidying Up with Marie Kondo has become one of the most popular TV series on Netflix. She made "decluttering a happy thing". Does this "spark joy?".

The truth is — the world is becoming more complex and complicated.  Our living spaces are getting smaller but society is indirectly pushing us to own more things. Buying more can often lead to dissatisfaction, as the ‘thrill’ of the purchase wears off. It filled up spaces with unnecessary things and it built up stress living in a cluttered life.

Subconsciously, we are all trying to find an escape and the answer is pretty clear but we need to hear it from Apple and Marie Kondo only to realise it. The answer to becoming happier is to have less. Though unbelievable, it's the undeniable truth. Once you cut down on the amount you buy and no longer strive for more, you quickly begin to care less and become content with what you have. You’ll become less concerned with comparing yourself with others, which is often a source of excess consumption and unhappiness. It also helps us to focus better.

Remember "less is more..."

No. 5 Non-Wallet
The non-wallet was born as a mico-wallet, which fits into a t-shirt front pocket so that it's easy for you to bring along for outdoor activities like cycling, jogging, and more. The original design was created 10 years ago when we don't really know much about a minimalist wallet. So, one can say that the non-wallet is one of the pioneers of the minimalist wallet. However, our design intention is not about creating a minimalist wallet, but a design that looks great and simple to use.

Pull-tab Card Compartment
We realise that having plenty of card slots isn't necessarily easy to use. It makes it difficult to take your card out and you practically have to pry it out of the slot every single time. So, we combined the card slots into a single pull-tab slot. You can pull out your cards and find the card you want without even opening up your wallet.

Normally, you need (1) Open up your wallet; (2) Look for the card; (3) Pry out the card, and (4) Close your wallet. With the non-wallet, you just have to (1) Pull out the cards; (2) Pick the right card, and (3) Push the rest of the cards back. Simple.

The card compartment will hold up to 6 cards, which is more than enough for your everyday carry.
Single Note Compartment
In our design, the notes are held by 3 leather tabs that are pretty easy to put in and take out.

Less is more...
If you want to take control of your life and start the journey to minimise and create a lifestyle with better focus, one of the ways to start now is relearn how we use our wallet. If we can't declutter our wallet, how can you declutter everything else?

Let's start embracing Steve Job's philosophy to simplify our life by first simplifying our carry. Take up the challenge and start from the Non-Wallet.

Personalise your Non-Wallet now!
