The World Socialist Web Site and Socialist Equality parties around the world are playing a leading role in opposing the persecution of Chelsea Manning and Julian Assange. In the US, we are holding public meetings and rallies to demand Manning's freedom. Our section in Australia has organized two powerful demonstrations to demand the Australian government end its collaboration in the persecution of Assange and take immediate action to secure the freedom of the WikiLeaks publisher and Australian citizen.
