Grades of Green 💚 April

People around the world come together on Earth Day, April 22, to honor and advocate for our planet’s health, but our Grades of Green student Eco-Leaders do this every day! Show your love for Mother Earth and the next generation of environmental leaders with a donation to Grades of Green.

Donate if you 💚 Mother Earth
Help us reach our Earth Appeal goal of $20,000 by April 22nd! Your support will ensure Grades of Green’s students’ transformational environmental projects come to life, creating a cleaner and greener future for us all.

Veggie Grill Partnership

Veggie Grill, one of our Earth Month Partners, is stepping up to help us reach our $20,000 goal — we hope you will too! What we drink, eat and purchase matters. And not just to you. What you choose to put in your body, and who you buy it from, not only has a huge effect on your health, but our planet too!

———THE VEGGIE GRILL FAMILY———

In honor of Earth month, Veggie Grill, Mas Veggies Taqueria and Stand-Up Burgers are raising money to support Grades of Green’s work for the month of April to empower students to become the next generation of environmental leaders. A portion of proceeds from the VG Classic Burger, the Stand-Up Burger, and the Taco 6 Pack will be donated to support Grades of Green.

Now that’s a Win-Win, for your health and the planet!

Eco-Leaders in Action

Mira Costa Clothing Swap

The Mira Costa Grades of Green Club held a clothing swap on March 20th in Manhattan Beach, CA to reduce clothing waste in their community. Students participated by donating clothing items they no longer wear and exchanging them for other donated pieces of clothing. Opting for used clothing instead of purchasing new, reduces waste and the greenhouse gas emissions caused by producing new clothing items.  The event raised awareness about the environmental effects of the fashion industry which produces over 17 million tons of textiles waste each year in the US alone.

Cofan Indiginous Community

Eco Leader Katia, from the Archer School for Girls in Los Angeles, is dedicated to saving the rain forest and working to protect the Cofan indigenous community in Ecuador. Watch Katia's video to learn more about protecting the Rain Forest and sign Katia's petition to help the Cofan Community stop illegal hunting, deforestation, and oil drilling.
