Helping the Homeless: The number of homeless people in New Orleans is about where it was six years ago. There was a dramatic drop during the pandemic as federal money came into the city to help deal with the problem, but as the resources dried up, the ranks of the homeless have risen. That's part of what has contributed to the perception that the problem is worse than ever, but there are other factors at play. Don't miss Missy Wilkinson's story. Underage drinking: A Louisiana lawmaker has proposed a bill to ban anyone under the age of 21 from entering a bar in Louisiana and to boost fines for bars caught serving alcohol to anyone underage.
