KQED
Hi Friends,

A healthy and strong democracy requires trust, truth and respect. Facts and the willingness to invite and understand different perspectives are critical to civic dialogue. Clarity, depth and context are needed to solve our most pressing issues.

KQED exists to serve our community. We provide fact-based, local journalism and national coverage and quality programming from PBS and NPR — two of the most respected and trusted news organizations in the country. Together, we’re an independent public service that stands outside political influence and partisanship to empower people to be active and responsible citizens.

This week, California residents receive their mail in ballots. Many people will vote by mail-in or by early voting. Understanding the voting process, exercising your right to vote, being more informed about the issues and engaging in political discourse are more important than ever. Now is the time to participate and KQED is here to help.

These times are uncertain and troubling. With so many forces pulling us apart, it feels like our safety, community, society and democracy are at stake. KQED is committed to being your trusted, reliable and unwavering source of critical information and resources. We’ll cut through the political noise and focus on spirited, respectful and engaging dialogue. Our goal is to build and strengthen community so that we can come together — despite our differences — and unite for the common good.

Respectfully,
MichaelIsip
