Hillary Clinton is Onward-bound

• A fierce evening. Last night, Gretchen Carlson told members of the Fortune MPW community about the outpouring of responses she received from victims of sexual harassment after her suit against Fox News chief Roger Ailes. "I realized, holy crap: Every woman has a story," said Carlson. That epiphany inspired her to write her forthcoming book, Be Fierce , in which the former anchor will share some of the stories of the women who reached out to her and offer her insight and advice to those who are suffering harassment or related issues. (One controversial take from Carlson: "Is human resources really the right place to go?...Who's giving them the paycheck?")

Although Carlson said she is legally barred from discussing the details of her suit against Ailes, she alluded to it, and specifically to the fallout from coming forward, saying: "I know from my social media comments that we still have work to do." But, she told the crowd gathered to celebrate the 2017 Fortune/U.S. State Department Global Women's Mentoring Partnership, "if it helped my daughter be a stronger woman and my son to see what I did, it was all worth it." Fortune

• Italy bound. Donald Trump is expected to nominate Callista Gingrich as ambassador to the Vatican. Gingrich is president of Gingrich Productions—and the wife of former House Speaker Newt Gingrich. Fortune

• Onward and upward? Hillary Clinton has officially taken her next steps following her unexpected presidential defeat last November, launching Onward Together, a PAC dedicated to advancing liberal causes and politicians. Fortune

• 100 to watch. Fast Company's annual list of the 100 "most creative people in business" is out and includes a slew of fascinating women. Among the top five alone: Facebook VP of Product Fidji Simo, SVP of Google Cloud Diane Greene, and CVS Health EVP Helena Foulkes. Fast Company

• Merkel's Monday. Angela Merkel met with Emmanuel Macron yesterday, saying that she hopes to work closely with the new French president and is willing to make substantial changes to the EU. The sitdown comes a day after Merkel's party, the Christian Democrats, won a state election in a region of the country that has long been considered a stronghold of her competition.

MOVERS AND SHAKERS: Dia Simms has been promoted to president of Combs Enterprises.

• Make room for moms. New York City's subway system is taking a cue from London by introducing "Baby on Board" buttons for pregnant riders to help them secure often elusive seats on public transit. The move comes after the MTA's recent campaign that targeted subway "manspreaders." Fortune

• A care contradiction? To mark Women's Health Week, President Trump released a statement calling for paid family leave and better access to women's health care. The letter is light on details about how the president aims to accomplish these goals: He says he is "committed to working with Congress" to that end. It's worth noting that the GOP health care bill that passed the House earlier this month has been widely criticized for scaling back some aspects of women's health care. Fortune

• A wipe wipeout. Jessica Alba's Honest Company is voluntarily recalling some of its baby wipes. The news comes after a January baby powder recall, as well as the 2015 suit over the company's sunscreen. New York Magazine
