Jim Phillips, a well-known hobbyist and longtime supplier of Ford parts as owner of Jim's New Parts for Old Fords, died Sept. 19.

| | Jean Bugatti's Type 57SC Atlantic to be shown
The Arizona Concours d'Elegance, a celebration of fine automobiles at the historic Arizona Biltmore Resort, announced that the 1936 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic coupe from the Mullin Automotive Museum will be shown at the concours in January.
One of the greatest automotive jewels of the Art Deco era, the Bugatti Atlantic will star in a special class of Bugatti automobiles, adding its elegant form to the Art Deco ambiance of the Arizona Biltmore, which was completed in 1929.

| | Gilmore Car Museum features Joplin and Cage cars
"The Golden Age of Sports Cars, 1949-1967" is the title of a new exhibition opening at the Gilmore Car Museum that will run until April 2017.
This exhibit showcases nearly two dozen of the rarest and most sought-after sports cars in the world including: Janis Joplin's 1964 Porsche 356, Nicolas Cage's 1967 Ferrari 275/GTB 4, the race-inspired 1955 Mercedes Benz "Gull Wing," and an authentic Shelby Cobra 427.

| | 'Open Wheel Warriors' star at Packard Museum
The National Packard Museum is offering its second installment of the "Start Your Engines" race exhibit entitled "Open Wheel Warriors."
According to historic documents, the roots of local racing can be traced back to a warm summer day in 1903 when Packard's legendary Gray Wolf racer made its debut at the old Trumbull County Fairgrounds, (where Harding High School is now located.) in Warren. A few months later, the revolutionary car smashed straight-line speed records.
