Dear Reader,

Tonight, we observe Tisha B’Av, one of the most somber days in the Jewish calendar — but also one that unites our community.

As we remember our history and those who came before us on Tisha B’Av, we also remember everyone who has ever been part of our community of readers. For so many, reading the Yiddish Forverts or the English Forward is a family tradition.
