Dear friends and supporters, Today, on Yom HaShoah, we remember the six million Jews who perished during the Holocaust and honor the survivors who lived through unimaginable darkness. As we reflect on this dark chapter in history, we also recognize that the State of Israel was formed as a direct result of these terrible events, a safe haven and homeland for the Jewish people. As a dedicated volunteer at ZAKA Tel-Aviv, I am humbled to be part of an organization that not only acknowledges this connection but also actively works to protect Israel and its people, honoring the memory of those who died in the Holocaust. We at Zaka Tel-Aviv provide a wide range of emergency services, including search and rescue, recovery, and identification of disaster victims, as well as responding to horrific terror attacks. Our skilled volunteers, who are trained in various fields such as emergency medicine, diving, and firefighting, are always on call, ready to offer assistance when needed. Our dedication and expertise ensure that we can handle even the most challenging situations, providing vital support to communities in times of crisis. Our commitment to serving the people of Israel extends beyond times of crisis. We work to educate the public about safety and disaster preparedness and provide support to families who have lost loved ones. Through these efforts, we aim to create a safer and more resilient Israel, ensuring that the lessons of the Holocaust are never forgotten. As we honor the memory of those who perished during the Holocaust, Zaka remains dedicated to safeguarding the lives and well-being of our fellow people of Israel. We reaffirm our commitment to preserving the past while building a more secure future for our nation. Please support our mission to protect and serve the people of Israel. |
