Lawmakers want to move quickly on the issue after a search warrant resulted in Amir Locke being killed by police.
| Feb. 8, 2022 A funeral is planned tomorrow for Jahmari Rice — the 15-year-old student who was killed outside a District 287 school in Richfield, Minn., last week. The service will be held at Hope Church in Richfield at 1 p.m. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner ruled Rice’s death a homicide. Two other students at the school, aged 18 and 19, have been charged with murder and attempted murder in the shooting. According to a criminal complaint from the Hennepin County Attorney’s office, the shooting came after an altercation between students that spilled out of the school and into the parking lot.
