Looking at Silvia Colloca’s remarkably renovated home in Sydney, you’d never guess there was a time when it was almost falling down around her. “Let’s put it this way – it was old,” she says. “There were holes in the roof, and when it rained, it rained in the house. That flooded all the carpets.” It was 2016 when the Italian-Australian talent, her husband, actor Richard Roxburgh, and their two sons, Raff and Miro, moved into the 1970s double-brick house on the Northern Beaches. They always knew it was up for some work, but it would be seven years before all their ducks were in a row. But when it finally came to the fun part - the aesthetics - interior designer Jono Fleming was an easy choice as he had done the styling and even stepped in as sous chef on many of Silvia’s projects. “I’ve known him for more than 10 years,” she says. |
